As November is the month of gratitude, we express it wholeheartedly to Dunia Buzzanell as the Employee of the Month. Dunia celebrated her one-year anniversary last month as a team member of IncrediCare Home Care.
Though Dunia has been in the area since 1965, she is originally from San Pedro Sula in Honduras. She has been providing care in some form for many years. “I did in home childcare for 30 years…for Fairfax County.” Dunia was married for 42 years until her husband passed away in 2011. At that point, she said she “decided to do something different” by getting her certified nurse assistant training from Northern Virginia College. Since then, Dunia has been helping seniors stay safely in their home by providing quality care and adding value to their days.
Dunia came across IncrediCare Home Care while looking to take on another client after losing hours with her previous client. She said she is motivated by the enjoyment she gets out of helping seniors. It also helps her “get out of the house.”
