IncrediCare is proud to announce Mohamed Kamara as the Employee of the Month for February. Mohamed was chosen for his ability to promote, protect, and advocate for his clients’ care and well-being, whether they are at home or in a facility. Get to know Mohamed:
Where did you grow up? How long have you been in the VA/DC/MD area?
I have lived in the VA/DC/MD area my whole life. I spent time in both Maryland and Virginia, so this region feels like home to me. I’ve grown up here, built relationships, and experienced everything this area has to offer.
What made you choose this career field? Did anyone influence you to choose this field?
I have always had a deep respect for the elderly and a natural desire to help others. I was drawn to caregiving because it allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives, whether it’s through companionship, assistance with daily tasks, or just being a comforting presence. Seeing how much of an impact I can have on someone’s day motivates me. While no one specifically influenced me to choose this field, my caring nature and the fulfillment I get from helping others made this the perfect career choice.
What brings you joy outside of work?
Outside of work, I focus on personal growth and self-improvement. I’m always working on developing myself, whether that’s through reading, learning new skills, or taking time to reflect on my goals. I also enjoy spending time with family and helping others in any way I can.
What motivates you to come to work every day?
The relationships I build with my clients are what motivate me the most. Seeing their faces light up when I arrive, knowing that I’m making their day a little easier and brighter, is incredibly rewarding. Clients like Mr. Steven, who are always excited to see me, remind me why I do what I do. It’s not just a job—it’s about making meaningful connections and improving the quality of life for those who need it most.
What made you choose Incredicare?
I chose Incredicare because they are a great company that truly values their employees. They offer great benefits, which is important, but beyond that, they genuinely care about their caregivers and the clients we serve. The support and sense of community here made it an easy decision for me.
How has working as a caregiver influenced your life?
Being a caregiver has changed me in so many ways. It has made me a more compassionate and patient person. Seeing firsthand what others go through has deepened my understanding of life and has made me more appreciative of every moment. It’s taught me the value of kindness and the importance of being there for others, no matter how small the gesture may seem.
What is a future goal you hope to accomplish?
My ultimate goal is to become the best version of myself—not just professionally, but in all aspects of life. I want to continue growing, learning, and improving. A major part of that journey for me is getting even closer to Allah and Islam, deepening my faith, and mastering the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Strengthening my connection with my Creator and living according to the teachings of Islam is something I strive for every day. Whether it’s through my career, personal life, or spiritual journey, I want to continue becoming a better person and make a positive impact on those around me.
