With the aid of Care Academy and her 30 years of experience in the field, Kim Jernigan, Community Liaison, brought the training to life. With stories of real-life instances, Kim helped caregivers understand Parkinson’s from different perspectives. Caregivers had meaningful questions, someone even asking, “What are some activities we can do with clients with Parkinson’s?” Caregivers chatted over snacks, sharing stories of ways they were able to help their clients and how they dealt with burn out. After each of the training sessions, caregivers were reinvigorated to get back to doing what they do best, caring with their hearts.
