In honor of Craft Month, IncrediCare Home Care sponsored two days of activities with some residents of Harmony at Spring Hills. On Tuesday, March 20th, some residents tested out their artistic talent while painting terra cotta pots. As the official start of Spring, they were all looking forward to the flowers they would plant in these pots. Using vibrant colored paint, each resident put their unique touch to their work.

On Sunday, March 30th, IncrediCare returned to Harmony with two middle school volunteers to help complete the projects. 6th grader Erfan H. and 7th grader Elliot H. assisted each resident with potting soil, water, and choosing and planting seeds. The students learned how to make this project accessible to each person’s abilities, just as IncrediCare Care Professionals do in our clients’ homes. They also learned how to be patient and encourage intimidated residents to participate in the activity.

Each volunteer commented on how they enjoyed the time spent with the residents. They both also asked for more opportunities to volunteer with other seniors in our community. IncrediCare takes pride in helping seniors, but even more so when we can spread that joy to others, creating a whole new generation of care professionals.
