Last month, IncrediCare brought a little Easter fun to the residents of Sunrise at Silas Burke House. Armed with canvases, buttons, glue, and paint, residents were invited to let their creativity shine by creating festive artwork for their living spaces.

Residents spent the afternoon selecting from a variety of pre-drawn Easter egg patterns on canvas, decorating them with colorful buttons, paint, and unique artistic touches. As they worked, many happily shared memories of how they celebrated Easter and springtime during their childhoods and later with their own families.

Reminiscing about meaningful life experiences can help seniors combat loneliness, boost emotional well-being, and support positive cognitive health. The activity also encouraged residents to practice fine motor skills and express personal choice and creativity as they designed their artwork exactly how they envisioned it.
