At IncrediCare, employees are hired based on their passion for caring for the elderly, their drive to help those in need, and most importantly, their curiosity and openness to learning more about the field. This month’s Employee of the Month, Samantha, came to IncrediCare with all those qualities.
She has been an exceptional help filling in shifts with many clients, supporting the team with teamwork, and a willingness to follow directions from the nursing staff. Her pleasant demeanor and ability to anticipate client needs have made her a client favorite. For those reasons, we congratulate Samantha on becoming the Employee of the Month for July.
1) Where did you grow up? How long have you been in VA/DC/MD area?
Springfield, I have lived here all my life.
2) What made you choose this career field? Did anyone influence you to choose this field?
I choose this field because I feel I get the most out of it. I can make someone’s day great and in return I get infinite memories and wisdom from my residents.
3) What brings you joy outside of work?
Outside of work on my spare time, I love cosmetology, especially special effects makeup!
4) What motivates you to come to work every day?
What motivates me to come to work every day is the unexpected. I am always grateful for a new day and an opportunity to better myself and those around me. We all know time does not stop for anybody. With that said, enjoy being in the moment and taking in the little moments that warm our hearts.
5) What made you choose IncrediCare?
I chose Incredicare because of the vibrant atmosphere and how dedicated and courageous our team is. They are always putting out their best and working together to get it done.
6) How has working as a caregiver influenced your life?
Working as a caregiver has helped me face some personal challenges. The impact holds great importance for me, as I’m forever grateful to be able to build relationships with my amazing clients. Their radiant energy brings out my confidence.
7) What is a future goal you hope to accomplish?
Some future goals I pray I will achieve someday are to be able to provide education for children in less fortunate countries, providing everything necessary, and own animal sanctuaries that I can sustain and help all abused/hurt animals in need.
