ToggleFor the month of May, IncrediCare is proud to award Employee of the Month to Breana Rowell.
At such a young age, her life experiences prepared her for a career in caregiving. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Breana enjoyed living in many different places all over the world, growing up as her father was in the military. She considers having to move every 3-4 years “as a blessing and a curse. I get to enjoy moving to new areas in the world but the tough part about being a military child is having to transfer to multiple different schools and having to make new friends.” Her skills in adapting to different environments are exemplified as Breana smoothly transitions between clients and their unique situations.
At the age of eight, Breana received some news that influenced her decision to become a caregiver. While living in Germany, she “was diagnosed with brain cancer called Anaplastic Ependymoma.” “During my time in the hospital, I constantly noticed the nurses going above and beyond for me, which inspired me to do the same. Helping others makes me happy.” She considers her job as a caregiver a blessing. “Learning and understanding people’s medical needs spark my interest even more in this field.”
Breana’s other joys come from time spent with her energetic 8-year-old dog Tildon, and spending time with her boyfriend outdoors in the sun and indoors watching horror movies.
While the IncrediCare team feels fortunate to have a Care Pro who personally understands what it means to receive good care, Breana feels “blessed with my clients and loves seeing that I make a difference in their lives. Working with IncrediCare has opened my eyes to the reality of how humans live day by day with medical conditions.”
IncrediCare looks forward to cultivating Breana’s enthusiasm for caregiving as she grows from her experiences in this field. Congratulations Breana!
