On Tuesday, February 17, IncrediCare was honored to serve as a guest speaker at Sunrise Hunter Mill’s Cognitive Disorder Lunch and Learn. During the event, IncrediCare spoke to industry colleagues and prospective families over lunch graciously provided by Sunrise.
The presentation highlighted how caring for a loved one with cognitive disorders can place emotional and physical demands on families. IncrediCare shared real-life examples and discussed how one-on-one private duty care can support seniors living with dementia and other cognitive disorders.
Attendees also learned about the benefits of in-home care, including how personalized support at home can enhance safety, independence, and quality of life before transitioning to a community such as Sunrise. The well-versed staff at Sunrise also shared their expertise, discussing how they support residents with various cognitive challenges once they transition to the community. They also offered tours of the facility and apartments, giving guests a firsthand look at the environment and care provided.
It was a lovely afternoon filled with the exchange of ideas, resources, and solutions to better support seniors and their families.
