The Incredicare method of caring for our clients is not only to perform tasks when they cannot, but to maintain their independence whenever possible. Working with clients with neurocognitive disorders, we challenge our caregivers to find ways to incorporate independent tasks that can be achievable for their clients. Even wheelchair-bound clients can help load and unload washing machines and dryers. Sorting socks is another activity clients can do to maintain their fine motor skills as well as exercise brain functions.
The tasks caregivers come up with are never too complicated. Simple is best. While aging is a privilege of life, some independence can still be maintained for many of our clients, no matter their health conditions. With encouraging words and conscious efforts, Incredicare caregivers aim to provide value and fight helplessness in the lives of their clients.
