While many of our Care Professionals are diligently helping one client, some are ready to jump in and help when other clients are in need. For her willingness towards teamwork and conscientious efforts with every client she is with, Naana has been selected as the Employee of the Month. 1) Where did you grow up? How long have you been in VA/DC/MD area?
I grew up in Ghana, West Africa a place full of vibrant culture, delicious food, and unforgettable memories. I moved to Virginia six years ago, and I have been navigating the DMV lifestyle ever since.
2) What made you choose this career field? Did anyone influence you to choose this field?
Caregiving feels like something I was meant to do. Helping others, providing comfort, and making sure people feel seen and valued, it all just makes sense. No one pushed me into it, but the fulfillment it brings is more than enough reason to keep going.
3) What brings you joy outside of work?
Spending time with loved ones, enjoying tasty food, discovering new hobbies, and just soaking in the little things in life. Sometimes, a peaceful moment with a delightful book is all it takes.
4) What motivates you to come to work every day?
Knowing that my presence makes a difference. Whether it’s offering companionship, lending a helping hand, or simply making someone’s day a little easier, it’s all worth it.

6) How has working as a caregiver influenced your life?

7) What is a future goal you hope to accomplish?
I want to keep growing, learning, and making a positive impact. Whether it’s mastering new skills, taking on new challenges, or just continuing to provide the best care possible, I’m always looking forward to it.
